Mar. 23rd, 2003 09:02 pmWhile I didn’t stay out terribly late last night--I was home by 02h30, early in Sydney terms--I nonetheless fooked da dawg until nearly 05h00. For no good reason.
And came to around noon.
Run bath. Begin ablutions. The sound of chants--of course! The anti-war demo, and there it was, under my bloody window.
Rush ablutions to completion. Dress. Slip into new Birks. And, in the words of the comely ladies from En Vogue, “I’m out da door!”
I snapped a few photos, but only found a couple that were worth sharing. They are all located here.
I marched to the Domain, then was off to meet S. We had already planned on a Shhhpaaaa day together, at a hotel in Kings Cross. By the time I arrived chez S, my feet hurt from the new shoes. But off we toddled. Now I love shhhpaaaas, and was keen for the full meal deal--massage, exfoliation, facial, dicing, slicing, julienning--but all “services” were fully booked.
Instead we partook of the baths and steam, including a ginseng whirlpool. Ahhhh.....
Then I noticed a very cute man with a shaved head (this isn’t, btw, a gay sauna. Though lots of guys “on my team” there, so to speak). Then he set about to reshave his head. So I thought, “I should shave my head.”
Which I did:

A nice cuppa green tea and we headed off.
Nothing quite so dangerous as a day of leisure for a type-A personality...

Date: 2003-03-23 07:13 pm (UTC)It's nice to be able to glance out any time of day and see something that makes me go "Wow!"
Something I've come to expect, being from Vancouver (Seattle's quite the same, with the Olympics and Rainier, eh?).

Date: 2003-03-25 07:47 am (UTC)It reminds me a bit of me - or where I will be in a few years time - except I won't have to shave it to look like that.
