Fell back

Our clocks changed in Sydney this Saturday night. Which, as it turns out, I spent in Canberra, the Aussie capital about 4 hours South of Sydney. Nice town, one of those designed capital cities (so organized). You can view some photos here.

I sightsaw. I ate. I slept. I hung out with my mate Scott. We came back to Sydney and went to the Shift, to whoop it up and sing along to retro tunes. Always a good time. Canadians will notice that the logo for the Shift is remarkably similar to one used by a rather iconic Canadian public institution.

Those pics look really nice. What digital camera do you use? It is digital... yes? Only somebody like me would get film professionally developed so quickly then scanned up so beautifully. :-) Your green shirt really looks good in that pic, too.

thanks, it's a Pentax Optio 330. One of those compact little ones that fits in a shirt pocket. 3megapixels blah blah blah. glad you liked 'em!

It's the CBC of course. But somewhere, somehow the similarity has been pointed out before - maybe in one of our gay rags.

Am here on a post-doctoral fellowship. The uni equivalent of a temp. UBC class of Nov 2002. Here to do a project for a few months, then back to Hongcouver...
