When I was a kid my parents always voted. Always. "If you don't vote, shut up" was the typically diplomatic way Ma put it. I never considered not voting.

And I'm still largely convinced that casting one's vote is more important than the result. Will of the people yadda yadda yadda.

Though truth be told, if Kerry doesn't win I will be both demoralized and disheartened. And not because of partisanship--I think both parties are right-of-centre.

But Bush is lazy, erratic and a bad manager. If he managed a McDonalds he'd have been fired long ago.
