A new Argentina
Jan. 4th, 2005 09:52 amThough it was not without its stressful moments, when
toneyvr left yesterday I was bereft. I can count on on hand the people in the world who "get" me, and he's definately either the thumb or pointer finger. Tony me manque.
After the airport and sniffles (OK a few howls), I detoured to downtown, in search of a case for my new mobile (I dropped mine @ Bondi a couple weeks back: it was gone in 30 seconds) and my new iPod (since the last one got a ding in the LCD screen, rendering it fooked). Not so naïve to think anyone would have iPods on discount for Boxing Day I hoped perhaps peripherals might be. They be not. But I did score a combined mobile case, handsfree and car charger for less than the price of the stand-alone cases. Woot! I then meandered through the CBD, but found nothing for l'iPod.So I jumped on the bus home, with a mind to distract myself with work.
Which wasn't gonna happen: more tears. So I walked down to our local mega-mall (Supa Centa, I kid you not). Found a case for the 'Pod, not on sale but just what I needed, so I grabbed it. Headed home to join
querrelle and young Stu, who'd just returned from a bike ride to the Royal National Park. Tea was imbibed, laughs were shared. I felt OK. The rest of the arvo/evening was puttering, cuddling, cooking/eating (OK reheating the remains of shepherd pie), then bed time.
Oh, and some phenomenal nookie: my first orgasm of the year!
Today I'm better, if more tired--no, weary. Back @ work. Fatigued by the horrors of the last week, yet overall pleased with how the world is pulling it together (albeit slowly).
