India come I here

Turns out I'm going to India in a couple of weeks. For work. Itinerary, while not exciting, is...exciting for someone who's never been to India:

29 January Sydney - Singapore - Mumbai

01 February Mumbai - Nagpur

06 February Nagpur - Mumbai

07 February (redeye) Mumbai - Singapre - Sydney

Going to staff a booth at a conference in Nagpur, but some tourism time in Mumbai. Staying in Colaba Causeway in Mumbai, gawd knows where in Nagpur.

Any tips?

my little bother married there last December, and is going back in March to do a little medical work. I'll ask him and his lovely new bride (who is a native of Mumbai) for any must-dos-sees-eats...etc.....

Never made it to South India, just the North, but I've always dreamed of visiting Goa. I love to travel to places which represent the collision/fusion of two seemingly alien cultures, the vestiges of colonialism and imperialism, and Goa just fits the bill. Funky beach resort crossing Portuguese and Indian.

thanks..but I only make cameo appearances (get too worked up). And it seems like I was still a grad student, though it was 2002. There is life after, but it was a pretty kewl life too.
