people are good. And hawt
Apr. 26th, 2005 10:22 pmStrange day, in that I flubbed two things I rarely flub. First I left my mobile @ home; that’s easy to explain--my morning routine was disrupted, making me an eejit. Or, more accurately, revealing me for the eejit I am without ritual ritual ritual ri. tu. al.
Second thing was losing my keys--all of them. After retracing my steps--from bike, to kitchen at work, in stalls in loo @ work, in my and
querrelle’a offices @ work--only to find a note attached to my bike. To paraphrase “you left your keys in your bike, ring me, Paul 04xx-xxx-xxx.”
Ring, direct to voicemail (on
querrelle’s mobile; mine’s @ home). Ring again, again direct to voicemail. Send grateful SMS.
And then a yummy Mediterranean man appears at the scooter next to mine. “Are you Paul?” “Are you
jawnbc?” And he proceeds to pull my keys out from where he hid them on his bike (he was gonna tell me if I called him and he couldn’t come directly), clever, clever man.
I thanked him profusely, only clueing in afterwards that he was somethin’ of a hawtee.
What a great thing for him to do. Yay!
