1. Myself and Mr. Man (querrelle) watched Atanarjuat - The Fast Runner last night on DVD. An epic film in Inutituk ("eskimo"), truly one of the more unique films ever made. querrelle loved it; I reloved it

2. The Canadian government will not challenge the recent Ontario court ruling in favour of same-sex civil marriages (not unions). Instead they'll table legislation in the Fall that allows religions to follow their own internal policies and practices will enshrining civil marriages between and 2 persons. More info here.

3. A rural BC (British Columbia) school district has ordered one of its guidance counsellors to stop making public statements about homosexuality. Chris Kempling is one of those obviously-can't-read-the-New-Testament-for-content-and-meaning Christians, and is becoming quite popular on the ignorant fook speaker's circuit. His teaching license was suspended for a month earlier this year for making similar statements at work. More info here.
