Getting married in about 5 weeks--WTF??? Pity my Mum's not nearby so we could torture one another--ah but she and my sister never really forgave one another from Sis's wedding back in '82 . . .a mother's love's a blessing, no matter where you muthfookin' roam.

So've been finalizing restaurant details, have booked a time to do cake tasting/selecting within 24 hours of arrival in Hongcouver, and am waiting for an email from a grad skool acquaintance who also has a DJ business. It's a good think I asked the resto about dancing because the room we booked ain't go no dancefloor. However they're giving us access to another room gratis, just for the dancing. It's down a loverly spiral staircase from the main room. Did I mention we're getting married in a frickin' glass gazebo?> Because we frickin' are!

Work is fine, really. I don't love, I don't hate it, there are some interesting things to do and a lot much less so. Stepping stone, but I'd like a better rock thanks. One thing's for certain: I'm much clearer now on what sort of academic gig I want. I want research, teaching and admin. I want it all, I want it yesterday.

I want someone to rub my feet with chilied olive oil. I want a Shamrock Shake. I want, but I want not for. That's a small w in whinge folks.

Went to the tubs on Sunday for the first time in weeks. Apparently 3pm Sunday is bear bare-all @ Kingsteam. I laughed, I cried, I joyed. I came home and watched Australian Idol--which now shifts into its weekly elimination format. Excellent, now I can stop watching! B-b-b-b-b-boring!

My Palm and my computers are fighting--and I'm not winning. iCal is stuffed up with multiple dupe events. I'm on my gazillionth synch since Friday. I wonder which important meeting I'll miss...

*stretches toes expectantly*

Tu vas chanter
Pour nous faire oublier le passé.

{Refrain:}
