bye bye faut que je m'en ailles
Mar. 12th, 2008 10:06 pmI stepped out of academia in November. In the last 4 weeks I:
-have been invited to write a chapter on for a book on queer adult education for social justice
-had a journal article accepted on queer youth, subject to some revisions
-had a major grant approved as a Co-Investigator
I'll write the chapter (it's a revision of an old...and not terribly good...conference paper), and revise the article to get it in.
The grant? I'm still waiting for the PI's to acknowledge we got the thing (I found out on the granting agency's website).
I considered myself having "stepped out" rather than having "left behind" academia. Ask me again in 2010. Or 2009 if this Olympic thing turns out to be less fun.
