I'm surprised - and heartened - that so many of my friends come out high on the "postmodernist" score. Makes me feel like much less of a freak. I guess it's hard to be gay and not be postmodernist to some degree, since we are exposed to so much of the nonseniscal side of "truth".

I'm surprised that your "materialist" score is so low! And "modernist" even lower than that. I'd love to know the particular answers that led to that result. Any idea of what they were?

Well their use of materialist is different from how it's commonly used in social theory today. Materialism posits that any social theory must consider the material implications of what it proposes, otherwise it's not valid. In that sense materialism is akin to basic needs--food, shelter, safety, community, wellness--not Marxian materialism.

I think the post-modernist result conflates "there is little absolute truth" with post-modernity. Really they're using po-mo in a sense that's inappropriate.
