I can't say I really thought any of what you listed was the "best" band there... they all had problems. Ireland's the best one listed there, if she'd have just assasinated Joe and went solo ...

And how could you NOT list France as a train wreck? Hel-LO! Big Bird costume? Six people singing six completely unrelated notes in a chorus? While I think Portugal was by leagues worse -- France certainly deserves mention.

Thanks for reminding me ... I bought the DVD on the way to work this morning. The wierd gay, German, slut, BDSM guy who at the CD/DVD shop was there. And after not greeting me, or ringing up my DVD (and Streetparade compilation) leaving me to find another clerk he shoved a notepad and a pen at me and mimed (he was on the phone) that he wanted my number.

I gave it to him cause I'm too polite to say fuck off freak. Besides he's had my number before and it was soooo not worth it.

Oh and I owe you a t-shirt ... at this point should be i be sending it to Vancouver?

I should do the bogus number thing. But, the freak in question used to have me on speed dial, so I figured if he wanted my real number he could just hunt it up. So I gave it. I know he'll lose it before again he calls me, so I'm safe.

It took a bit of refreshing of my memory, but not too much, as this has been one of the more memorable years since...well, since the late 90’s, frankly. Lots of good and interesting stuff. And more importantly, a number of acts following the Çetin Alp (http://diggiloo.net/?1983tr) rule: if you can’t be good, at least suck in a compelling way so that we can all mock you mercilessly (*coughcoughMoldovacoughcough*).
