jawnbc“Hard Cheese!” is a British slang expression for “tough luck!” This is a meme about all the unlucky, irritating or bloody stupid things that regularly happen. Answer it, then copy it in your LJ and snigger as others tell you about their “hard cheese” moments.
1) Name one nasty, unlucky or painful thing that recently happened to you.
The deathbed jaunt to NY to see Ma. Though in the end it brought many gifts as well...
2) Name a severe disappointment in your life.
That my family, for the most part, will never understand how their homophobia damn near killed me...and to push that sort of dialogue would only inspire bitterness and rancour
3) Without naming names, describe the behaviour of someone in LJ or real life that really honks you off.
Priviledged white boy faux butchster. If you grew up in the shadow of your parent’s university and went to the concomitant enrichment programmes, you not really a badass or outlaw.
4) Describe an injustice you have met.
I have consistently and successfully challenged sexism, homophobia and racism at the local, national and international levels.
5) Would you say that anything you ever met or dealt with personally was really evil?
I don’t believe in evil, I believe in sick. Or callous. Evil’s too simple, too easy.
6) List as many public figures, from singers to politicians, who honk you off, and try and explain why. George W.Bush and Osama Bin Laden are excluded - too easy.
Dr Phil you’re kinda hawt but your answers are facile and no genuine helper would reduce that art to 7 minute telebites.
7) What would you rather watch paint dry for a month than do?
Travel to Cuba, or any such régime that brings in tourist dollars and doesn’t use them to benefit their people

Live in the US again, ever
9) What would you change about yourself?
Live in my body more...exercise would be more natural to me, more fun. For the most part exercise and recreation are chores for me.

Take the concept of a self-cleaning oven and make the planet like that
