ma plotte est à terre
Sep. 10th, 2005 10:27 pmWe set out early to slay the retail beast that is the IKEA. We chose to stalk our prey at the newer, bigger, farther Coquitlam branch. So we bused, Skytrained, then bussed again. It was all so very exciting. OK, not really...
We went out there because we wanted to check out some other furniture stores: we had a default table from IKEA, assuming we couldn’t find something better. We visited 4 furniture stores, but ended up back @ IKEA. Where we also got 6 chairs, a TV stand, some folding chairs for the balcony, and a torchière. PLUS a couple of extra place settings for our dinnerware (so we can have 8 for dinner), some desk lamps blah blah blah.
We also stopped in one of those stock clearance places and found a DVD player for $30....a region-free one at that!
It was a long, at times tedious day, but we kept each other in good humour. Which is really nice.
