She can't keep up with the working crowd
Oct. 14th, 2005 11:13 amI stick my neck out, I get it whacked. And when it happens I have to remind myself that if I'm gonna say things that might be provocative to some, I'd better be thick-skinned enough to take my licks. And it's best not to let myself get sucked into the schoolyard antics of other. That's an easy sell 99% of the time...but the other 1% of the time? Oy!
CBC is back...Peter Mansbridge remains bald. Sometimes when I watch The National I get this mental image of him banging away with Cynthia Dale. He's tall, that might be kinda hawt. But for some reason Wendy Mesley doesn't quite work for me. Do you think Petey says "and that's it for this evening" or whatever his signature sign-off is? Sais pas...
Tonight I demo a yoga class at the Y. Am looking forward to it, quel suprise. I got bloodwork back from my GP this week and everything is great (really great) except marginally elevated cholesterol. But Robert (my GP, gawd he's awesome) did a tertiary calculation that shows my risk for a heart attack in the next 10 years is 3% just for being 41: the elevated cholesterol brings it up to 7%. Unless one gets to the 15% threshhold, pharmcotherapeutics aren't recommended. But having been off Lipitor for almost 2 months, it's clear that the lifestyle changes I've made are having an impact.
Tomorrow we're taking the lovely faux Canucks (who are Aussie boys here in Canada on working holiday visas) for a scenic drive up to Whistler.
