bubble & squeak...
May. 15th, 2003 09:04 pm...antipodean style, with tater/kumara mash, cabbage and onions. And lots of salt -n- pepper.
I'm wearing a new rugby shirt, Irish national team colours, and it's fab. Jawn like outlet malls. 2 pair of rubgy shorts too, all Cantebury.
Had a fun time with Mr. Man last night: shopping, cooking, eating, chatting, watching "All About My Mother" (WOW!) and well, you know. I slept well too. Unfortunately he didn't, poor pup. I'd forgotten how beautiful it is to have a man in your arms before during and after sleep. How on earth couldn't anyone view 2 guys being intimate as a bad thing???
Over the next few weeks I'll be sorting out where I want to be, for how long, and on what terms. Options include moving back to Hongcouver ASAP, staying in Sydney til towards the end of November, or even a longer stint of up to 24 months. Not all options are available to me just yet; my plan is to get a strong sense of where I want to be after a good 2 week visit back in Canada...and come back to Sydney with clarity and focus.
I may have my answer any time between 17 May and 3 June (when I'm off to SF for a conference before returning to Sydney). 3 weeks ago I would've said #1 will clearly be it...but not so sure now.
On a more frivolous note the web is heating up with pre-Eurovision Song Contest buzz! Most advance polls have Spain's entry the clear favourite--pretty much a guarantee that they'll finish 3rd or 4th. Birgitta from Iceland also has a lot of buzz. Both are great records, certainly I wouldn't be upset if they won.
But I think Ireland's got a great shot at it. Mickey Hart's cute but not in a bland, boyband way. The song is catchy and accessible, and Ireland rules Eurovision!!!
