Dance away...
Nov. 12th, 2005 06:26 pmif there was music, Brenda wanted to dance. When we were small (she is our Aunt, after all) she wanted to dance with everyone. But as we grew up Brenda became more...discerning. So for the last decade or so she'd almost exclusively dance with her nephews.
And she danced all night: disco, Oirish 2-step (OK hers was a 1-step), didn't matter: let the music play!
This was taken at my cousin Michele's wedding in August 2003. Among many memories from that night I remember Aunt Eileen-yes, Sister Eileen, queen of the penguins--begging and pleading with Brenda to come off the dancefloor so they could go home.
It didn't happen. Because Brenda was the Queen. And we her minions.
Jaysus I miss her...
