jawnbcHow many of you remember this? The song, Dragostea din tei, was a huge hit around the world for O-Zone in 2004: it hit #1 in most of Europe, even making it to #2 on Top of the Pops. The sung is sung in Moldovan Romanian.
A lot of people thought this was a Eurovision song, but it wasn't. And when Moldova entered Eurovision last year for the first time, a lot of people expected O-Zone to represent them; they didn't, a rock band with their metal-mouthed drumming grandmother did and finished a suprising 6th place.
This year"s Moldovan selection ended up a 3-way tie, so the TV network tossed the results and organized an impromptu new final. Including an entry by Arsenium, one of the 3 O-Zone dudes.
And today Arsenium (featureing Natalia Gordienko) won that final. Easily. OMFG Becky! Eurovision is so exciting...and we're 2 months from the contest!
