I am. Doll parts.

So we had a fight the other night. Shouting, slamming, fight. I don't think they're a requirement, but they do seem inevitable on some level. It happens maybe 3-4 times a year. The ex-second-string-altar-boy in me thinks if we were better people it would never happen. But he also thinks that gay sex is evil, that women are lucky to be able to gestate, and that macaroni & cheese Kraft Dinner is a meal, rather than an entrée. The specifics of the fight aren't important. But we uncovered some things we needed to deal with and we started that last night.

Overall I'm pleased. Pleased I'm so passionate about [livejournal.com profile] querrelle that I can get so wound up. Pleased we are both wholly capable of contrition and forgiveness, without being servile or obsequious. And pleased that we're not one of those "fightjust to have hawt sex" roadkill couples.

I fly off to Toronto tomorrow morning, and aside from [livejournal.com profile] querrelle nothing gets me all hot-and-bothered like flying. This morning I was greeted with an email inviting me to do web check-in. Got my aisle bulkhead left forward seat on the Airbus 330, which pleases me to no end. And Seat Guru is a great site for analysing which seats are best for a given airline's equipment. Visiting this site makes me have to change my undies.

I'm giving a paper on Sunday entitled "
Coming Into: Embracing The Queer Adult Self Through Local Knowledges", and it's all Foucauldian an' shit. The Conference publishes proceedings so the paper was submitted yonks ago, but I best start prepping the actual talk, non?

Agreed. Though at the same time flying scares the living shit out of me. Some people go on amusement park rides. I fly.

Kraft Dinner (Ivan taught me the correct phrase) is a meal, but only after you add the ketchup.
