The back wall of the trail around Stanley park, while stunningly beautiful, is very rough. You have to skate like you're off-road and the constant shaking and rattling is much like a foot massage. It's hard, because your legs start feeling so utterly relaxed and wobbly... truly a lovely feeling. heh heh
Have you been recently? They just re-opened the north side of the seawall after re-sealing it. It's in very good shape, except for the bit between 2nd Beach and Lost Lagoon.
Actually if you take a closer look at the map it's more like 10km. The 0km point is at the corner of Georgia St and the 9km point is at the corner of Beach St.
I saw a shirtless guy an hour ago near Science World. He had the cutest goatee and totally furry chest. He whizzed by me on roller blades with a bit of a smile and some nice eye contact.
