the phrase anglo-catholic, is a dead giveaway that this, of course, isn't a roman-oriented site, but rather one in the anglican/episcopalian stream of heresy. there's nothing more charming and fucktastic than a high church episcopalian (from, say, smoky mary's in midtown) who has translated his obsession with the fourteenth century into a full-blown fetish:

some are penetrated only in the red glow of sanctuary lamps indicating the real presence;

they cut their lube with holy water;

good friday with some of these queens is, literally, torture;

latin is the lingua franca, and all letters to +cantuar chide the archbishop for his shocking welsh accent;

mary is both the name of the mother of god (though her girlfriends down at the crescent and horns lounge call her astarte) and the name of their favo(u)rite bishops (anglo-catholics venerate anglophile spellings almost as much as they do proper vesting).
it's not as hot a site as the one for landover baptist church, but it's good.

Trust me, my terms at General Theological Seminary and participation in the concelebrated festival mass (Eight Bishops, no waiting) in honor of the sesquicentennial of the Oxford Movement held at Smoky Mary's is enough to make me want to hit you over the head with a thurible (metallic purse, often on fire).
