jawnbcLara Fabian is one of them. Shame she's not recorded anything in English of similar quality. The video has the word in French, for those who might be able to follow along.
Originally from Belgium (in fact, from Flanders, the Dutch speaking part, though Lara grew up speaking Italian at home), Lara Fabian first made an impact as a teenager. The same year Céline won the Eurovision for Switzerland, Lara finished a respectable 4th singing «Croire» for Luxembourg. Shortly thereafter she moved to Canada, where her career really took off.
Today she remains a popular singer throughout la francophonie. And unlike Céline she writes songs as well. Here's another clip, this time a duet with another Canadian, Isabelle Boulay: «il y a»
