Do you know what the layout is going to be for the events? Specifically, is Whistler going to be the main run for the skiing events? If so, are they going to have to modify the face for the jumps and slalom courses?

There was an article in the Boston Globe yesterday, in honor of Canada Day, about how "cool" Canada is.

This may work: go to http://www.boston.com/globe/columns/beam/ and look for the article "Cool, eh?"

Vancouver Winter Olympics would be the, ah, icing on this cake of coolness, then? [ducks]

1. Vancouver will host hockey, freestyle skiing, curling, ice skating. Whistler will host downhill skiing, bobsleigh/luge/skeleton and cross country. There will be a nordic centre built near Whistler for those vents.

No modifications to Whistler/Blackcomb are necessary--both are already up to the Olympic standard. For more info check out www.winter2010.com, the Vancouver bid--make that host--site.
