jawnbcVancouver's municipal employees are pretty much all on strike right now. Apparently collecting metre money and issuing parking tickets remain priorities: picking up garbage does not. Last one like this lasted weeks and it well and truly stank. But I'm with the workers, who seem to have the only union that figured out "hey, if we have to next negotiate just before or just after the 2010 Olympics they'll almost definately trot out the 'we have no $' argument--let's push for a 4+ year contract!" Good on 'em.
Missed last night's fireworks because were wuz making some of our own. Earlier in the evening we had a nice long skate, and I cooked chicken kebabs for our dinner. So tasty and oh-so healthful! But I'm no![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
gfrancie in the kitchen. Or a sahara_harp on the dance floor. Though I make awesome stew and can turn a very nice waltz.
Am about to dive into The Book⢠yet again. Looking forward to it, which is strange, eh?
80% through Potter. Rollercoaster ride. Not much hawt man-on-man action...yet. And this weekend we get the Simpsons movie. OMFG I am so excited!!!!
