my theory about LJ

People post in all sorts of ways, but most postings fall into these categories:
+ My day/week/month/afternoon/morning
+ Something happened/an event/occurrence
+ Holding forth/sharing opinions/pontificating
+ Random thoughts
As for replies, they too can be categorized:
- Thanks
- Hugs/support/empathy/sympathy
- Your posting made me think of/reminded me of...
- Perving (you're sooo hot)
- Thoughtful probes (challenging or affirming)
- Crass or callous
Some people want their journals to be light and breezy. Some want only deep and substantive discourse. Some shoot straight from the hip and let it fly. Most do all of these at what time or another.
