You know, I love people of faith...often. And I find orthodoxy of all sorts (deontological, agnostic or atheistic) tiresome. But sometimes the ways in which some "people of faith" twist things into a vacuum of self-involvement....jaysus fucking Christ!

Praying to the Lord™ for lower gas prices. Because, you know, the pollution of the planet will also be healed by his deep, deep love.

How peculiar.
You know when I was growing up I remember my Mother telling me it was wrong to pray for stuff like that. (like praying for your sports team to win)
This is on par with praying for a pony after refusing to clean up your room.
