Well my last day here was pretty low-key. I was waiting for the bus this morning when I realized I forgot my badge and lanyard--so I went back to get 'em so my last paycheque wouldn't be withheld. Still got to work on time. Once I got to the office I busied myself with a couple of tasks, interrupted by well-wishing from colleagues. Me and my betches went for our ritual Friday morning McLunch, and then there was only a few minutes before it was time to return my technology (again, so I would get paid). My boss organized a cake and a farewell for me (and she did a nice job on it all). Then a few more adieus, dropping my badge off at reception, and I toddled up to Broadway to catch a bus home.

How do I feel? A bit sad, but not too much. Mostly I'm excited about getting my life back, seeing my friends more often, and having more time and energy for [livejournal.com profile] querrelle.

Oh. And they announced the route for the Olympic torch relay today. Already applied. :D

My last day at Menzies (at the airport) was fairly low key... In fact - VERY low key - quite a few people didn't even realise I was LEAVING!

But, to be honest, "sneaking" out of there was the way I liked it... and I LOVE my new job now! :-)
