iPhone fetishist entry
I've had my iPhone for a few months I suppose. Overall I've been very pleased with it: it's the all-in-one (phone, PDA, iPod) I always wanted. The only negative has been the battery life...but considering I tinker with this waaaay more than I ever did with any PDA or mobile phone, it's unfair of me to say the battery life is bad. And Crackberries™ don't have the same screen size and quality...when they do--along with 3G performance--then we can compare.
Yesterday there was a major update to the iPhone OS. And it's added one feature that totally blows me away: embedded, real-time transit directions. The Maps GPS program no longer only finds directions for driving between points--it now offers walking directions and live transit instructions. Including when the next bus/train/ferry leaves.
Translink, our regional transit system, has a shite website. And I don't need to use it no more no more no more!

I HAVE been toying with other phone options such as the Samsung Omnia with it's 8MP camera - but I think when my current contract runs out just after Xmas, it's off to the store to get a 16GB iPhone for me!
Yaaaaay!

The BlackBerry Storm is on the way and I think will prove to be some serious competition for the iPhone. AT&T is still a showstopper for me from getting the iPhone around here.
