jawnbcA nice, rather low-key weekend. There was nooky, there was helping friends move, there was eating, there was lots of sleep. Took the weekend off from skiing and that was a good idea. But now I be jonesin' for the mountains an' shit.
Very pleased with the Oscar results. Embarrassing opening: they should shit can this "gotta do something big" nonsense. Ditto the "tribute to musicals" with Legend, Knowles and their ilk. The songs presentation was great though. And loved loved loved the "welcome to the club" presentations of the acting nominees, but Holy Mary Mother of Gawd™ please don't do that for like sound editing. DeNiro's "outing" of Penn was only exceeded by Sean boy's kick ass acceptance speech.
It's so refreshing to see the most innovative, unique and polished film of the lot win most of the awards. Just wish Dev Patel had been nominated as well...
Today I'm prepping a presentation for Wednesday, writing my own teaching portfoilo, and off to a meeting with some nurses. Which is in walking distance of McDonald's *squee*
