thornyc thoughtfully pointed out a few weeks back, most of the Oscar nominated short films (both live action and animation) are available for purchase via iTunes. And really, I could spend the same amount of money on a latte.
So I grabbed Toyland (Germany), which won for live action. It's 15 minutes of beautiful, condensed, moving storytelling. Did it deserve to win? Dunno. But it's very good.
