installer.app for the iPhone?

I stumbled across this InstallerApp thingie for the iPhone. It allegedly allows one to install hacked unauthorized applications onto an iPhone without cracking it.

Anyone know anything about it? Would it invalidate my warranty? Could it brick my iPhone? Are there any apps out there that make this worth the trouble?

You get what you pay for. There are some neat apps but they're awfully niche like an NES emulator or video recorder. Jailbreaking was great when there wasn't an iTunes App Store but now? Meh. Crashy unsupported hobby applications are not my idea of a good deal.
