fin-de-semaine
May. 22nd, 2009 05:33 pmAll's well that ends well. And the work week has ended well, with a work @ home day. After teaching online for most of the morning I caught up on some design stuff, then toddled up to Melriches for a reuben and a soy latte in the sun, whilst I did more work. Then it was back home to review a course--and wholly written course, which gives me great joy--in time to flip it back to the authors. Now I await my beloved's return.
Part of the course I'm teaching involves mastering the basics of a Learning Management System (LMS): Moodle or WebCT Vista. I'm expert at the latter and know (or knew) SFA about the former. Of course 90% of the students have elected to go with Moodle. So I'm...learning Moodle!
But I'm loving this course and hope to teach it again and again. There's a certain type of frustration that comes with teaching technical competencies. But there's a particular joy when people start connecting the dots. Connect the dots, la la la!
Oh. And I do screencasts:

I know, it's like pr0n....
