 For some reason I am becoming my Da. In particular I am butchering song lyrics. This is both amusing and exceedingly worrying. As examples:

• He slept a summer on my thigh
• All I wanna do is *bangbangbangbang* and tell you muh name

It is a sad fact of life my LJ Friend that we all become our parents, subconsciously, in later life. Though it is true we often make conscious decisions not to repeat the "known mistakes" out parents made that subconscious of ours often repeats the good things they did.

How is the Olympic coming along? I am looking forward to watching the ice skating programs downunder.

My dad did that too, and lately I have been PLAGUED by it. I think I need to listen to more correctly-played music because what fixes in my head is a tortured corruption - not just in the lyrics, but in the instrumentals as well.

These "literal videos" that are going around are most assuredly not helping! If you haven't seen the literal version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart", don't. It's so dumb, and so funny, you'll never get it out of your brain.
