quand on arrive en ville
Aug. 10th, 2009 05:38 amFlight over was uneventful. We did a bit of duty free gift shopping, grabbed a beverage, then it was time to board! We grabbed an aisle and window, hoping we might get an empty seat. Instead we first got a taciturn Russian who rather aggressively gestered for us to move to the middle and window. Next time I'll have the boarding passes and give him the choice, middle or window. Then he swapped out his seat with someone else. NIce, quiet, kind of sexy fella.
Beef or chicken no beef (ran out). Nothing of interest on the in-flight, so I watched the two semi-finals from this year's Contest (my DVD arrived this week). Overall I think Ireland wholly deserved a place in the final--had they been in the other semi I think they'd've rocked it right in. I'm still amazed that I can watch a high quality video on my iPhone with wonderful stereo sound.
Took me a surprisingly long time to fall asleep (even after taking a second sleeping pill. Think I need my eye cover for the return flight. Our mini-cab was waiting for us: much easier than the Express to Paddington and then finding some other means from there to Sydnenham.
Soon we're off for lunch, Sainsbury's, looking for SIM cards, and gawd knows what else. Yay!
