first kid on the block
Nov. 5th, 2009 02:00 pmHad dinner with some friends last night, who gave me a wicked early birthday prezzie:

This is the new workforce bag for the 2010 Games. It's optional (you want, you buy), and it compliments the uniforms nicely. One of it's very kewl features is how it's repurposed for the Paralympic Games: just unzip and stow the Olympic emblem in the pocket!

Being the first kid on the block with something is always a thrill; when it's Olympic in nature, you can fairly cut glass with my teets I'm so excited!

Date: 2009-11-06 02:38 am (UTC)One thing I've noticed about the Olympics souvenir stuff is that the mascots are only on things for kids. They're totally missing out on the adult market for cartoon characters. It's huge and they're not getting it. I'd like to buy tea towels with Quatchi on them but they only have tea towels with the boring logo stuff on them. Nice and all but not what I really want.
Oh well...

I agree. I have my mascot beach towel; that's it clothes-wise. I was hoping they'd sell Sumi, Quatchi and Miga sport helmet covers--you know, with elastic, so they stay on your skating/skiing/boarding safety helmet? I'd buy Sumi's in a heart beat!
