I'm very proud of you and what you accomplished man! Some people refuse to face their demons head on.

I'm currently trying to coach a friend through his own state of alcholism. Sadly he still haven't kicked his demons; yet.

He's currently in a treatment facility. I pray he stays. The problem is he finds any excuse to bolt and than ends up drinking mixing it with valuum!! Yikes!!

Anyways next time I see him I plan to give him the number for AA. I hope I could use your own story as an inspiration for him to quit. I feel sad cause at times I feel useless. I know in the end he has to want to quit.

When you say "sober", do you mean that you haven't drunk alcohol at ALL for 20 years? Or just not gotten drunk in that time?
