I could lie to you all and claim my life has been so overwrought--or fascinating, minute by minute--that I've not had time to catch my breath for LJ.  Except that would be a massive big fat lie.

So I won't say that. :)

After we returned from the antipodes--and by the way we seem to have found a near-perfect chemical method of mitigating jet lag--I had to hit the ground running, work-wise. September is our busiest start-up and I came back here last Monday with a 3 week window to get everything sorted. I'm also prepping my own course for September. Although things seem to be on track and organized, save the odd thingie dingie.  There's just less than 2 weeks to sort said thingies, so I'm not worried.  But also unwilling to anger the educational development Gawds.

My iPad was invaluable during our trip and I'm becoming even more of a committed digital citizen. So much, in fact, that I did a book purge on Saturday. Any books that are relevant to work will be brought here; some others will be kept. The rest are his-his-history. And I've already started scrubbing iBooks and Kindle and Kobo for open access versions of many of my academic books. My goal is simple: clear enough space on the shelves in the spare room to ditch the shelves in the bedroom entirely.

I also went up to Whistler to see my buds 1 and 4.5 (inside joke). 1 has scored a great job and a great apartment in Whistler--which has a spare bedroom for me when I want to head up there for a weekend.  Woo hoo!

Marriage is good, life is good. It's all good. How the fook are you?

It's all good :-)

So, purely for research purposes, what is the jet lag chemical?
