May. 19th, 2020 07:30 am8 weeks of working remotely (and lots of lots of overtime), online groceries, queuing for social distance, not seeing friends, cooking every meal, no café cawfees. It's great that Himself and I are still getting along really well (him in the office; me at the dining table). But I'm glad we've moved on from most of the restrictions and that Aotearoa has largely eliminated #covid19.
Economy is a shambles, but that's like everywhere. But we can now rapidly boot up all except inbound tourism and anything that involves 100 or more people in an event. On the weekend we had friends over for dinner and I had brunch with a bestie.
Won't see family for perhaps another year, however--although if I had to go I could do so (it would require a 14 day quarantine when I come home to Auckland).
We're lucky here with ourkween Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. Messaging was unambiguous, inclusive and created a team of 5 million.
