“Avalon” by Roxy Music was one of the more evocative, compelling albums CDs of the 80s. As was the video for the title track.

Sophie Ward was the model featured in the video. Who, it turns out, has found a rather faboo life for herself and her wife and kids!

Today that just strikes me as way frickin’ kewl. Props to sidherian for posting this in her blog.

Avalon would be right near the top of my list of favorite CDs. I listened to it tons in highschool and my friends didn't get my interest in Roxy Music (they were listening to way early Madonna and the soundtrack to Footloose!)
