1.What is one of your favorite books? What makes it so terrific?
So many books, so so many. The Temple of My Familiar by Alice Walker made me think--and feel--like no other. The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields has passages that are among the best every written: how can a book wring sobs out of me and make me feel whole? But if I have to pick one book to read over and over again, it would be...the omnibus version of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series by Douglas Adams. I loathe science fiction; this ain’t science fiction. It’s humanity.

querrelle and I go to for special occasions.
