Today, like yesterday, was a continuum of sloth structured with the odd commitment. Even though I can ‘do’ sloth still, my mind nonetheless periodically races at the prospect of what may be piling up. While I do the turtle on my couch. Complete with legs in the air
This morning I met with some folks at another uni. They (like me) are adult education researchers, whose research interests intersect nothings of justice. IN other words, we’re all about what’s fair.
In my day activists slept in and worked/partied late. This week’s meeting was at 07h45! !Gack! But a good meeting; it looks like we might be able to formalize our relationship. As in moolah. That would be nice. To celebrate I went grocery shopping, with the concomitant bagmata.
Yesterday, rather than catch up on reading I learned the ins and outs of messaging/chat programs. I’ve had accounts for AOL IM, ICQ, Yahoo and MSN Chat for the longest time, but have used a shareware client that connects to all (plus Jabber, which I don’t use) through a single application. When I made that decisions, the Mac clients for each of these networks was, uh, lacking.
Now they’re not, so I’ve toasted the shareware and am running each one separately. In particular I’m having fun with Yahoo, ‘cause it supports video streaming. And my mini-DV video camcorder for said streaming. So yesterday I got to chat with my pal o’ pals Doug in Hongcouver. It was wonderful to see a familiar face.
Unlike
ruralrob I ain’t got no one to buy me chocolate. And no one furry is ever on my couch. ;(
