Was getting to ready to meet a mate at Andrew “Boy” Charlton pool this afternoon (yeah, it’s really called that and it’s chock fool of sodomites, most of whom would qualify as “muscleboys” or “twinkies.” It’s a filtered, olympic-size pool, filled with salt water. It (quite literally) hangs off the side of The Domain, which is where Mrs. MacQuarie’s Chair is. Not on the side of the peninsula overlooking the Opera House and Harbour Bridge (oh, happy 75th birfday Hahbuh Bridge!).
As I was leaving the house I was feeling a bit achy and gassy, but presumed it was more spiritual (my emotional barometer is me guts) and headed out.
Mistake.
By the time I arrived, I ached from the hips down and was feeling gassy. I stayed about 30 minutes, got up and took a taxi home--I couldn’t walk the km the way I felt--by that time I felt like a bag o’ dirt. Now I’m home, in bed, and have popped 2 gravol (for nausea) and 2 tylenol w/codeine (available over the counter in small doses in most countries. ‘Cept the States, just say no I guess.
While waiting for the drugs to kick in, I plugged the PowerBook into the longer ethernet cable, and am now operating wholly in-bed. So I’m snug as a bug in a rug. Feeling better. While surfing I stumbled across two visualizer (make pretty colours) for iTunes. One (this one) is great; the other (this one) much less so. But for free, what is reasonable to expect?
In surfing LimeWire recently I stumbled across some Maria McKeen music. I’d forgot how wonderful a songwriter and singer she is. Whatever happened to her? One of those unfathomable talents IMHO.
Hate being ill, hate it. But a big believe in “better living through chemistry.”
