bon Yieu donne-moé un job
Mar. 30th, 2004 05:30 pmToday I signed a contract with a major Australian university. It’s an academic appointment, complete with sponsorship for work permit, good salary and an ear to the Dean--in other words, social capital potential galore.
I’ll start in a few weeks (need to get visa sorted), and now I have to pick a new computer for myself. They won’t let me buy a Mac, so it’s a PC. I’m leaning towards a Toshiba Tecra M2--anybody got any feedback they can offer.
The job means no money or visa worries for me and
