Yugo/Balkan history
Jul. 29th, 2008 08:09 pmA while back (months? years?) I heard about an international collaborative history project about the dissolution of Yugoslavia in general and the Bosnian war particularly. I've been keenly interested in the region for a while, but am only now looking to do some reading about these events.
Anyone know the project I'm thinking of? Or can recommend a substantive text, published relatively recently, about the conflict? Amazon's of no help since most books published since 95 seem to inspire the rancour of some constituency. I thought about picking the book that Bosniaks, Croats and Serbs all loathed (thinking it must be truesque if none were happy with it), but found no such book.
