I'm not sure your (and, to some extent, champdaddy's) stance on the matter is entirely realistic or fair. There are many, many different kinds of activism. Valuable advocacy takes many forms. And I can think of several good reasons not to attend or participate in Pride parades.
To present the situation as either you participate in Pride parades or you're an "apathetic kweer who should shut his cakehole" is, I think, a little too judgemental and maybe a tetch self-centred and/or narrow-minded.
Well then you're not apathetic and it doesn't apply to you.
But I do think that folks who criticize things like Pride parades and have never done anything to further kweer rights--all the while riding on the work of others--are jerks.
Unwilling to do something? Be quiet. Of course it's judgemental.
