In the spirit of the banal
Jul. 16th, 2005 02:39 pmThis morning I was ComaBoy™, unable to emerge from sleep paralysis. I eventually managed to stagger to the ‘loo, then to the lounge, then back to bed with my iBook. At some point the fog lifted enough to take a bath, make some toast, get dressed, and head out.
I scooted downtown to recharge my pre-paid mobile. I also stopped at a CD clearance store and picked up Drive by Bic Runga, The Best of De La Soul, and Feels Like Home by Norah Jones. I then discovered a kapitalist skirmish extraordinaire on Pitt Street: who dareth to sell the new Harry Potter at the lowest price? Fie on your $5 giftcard! Fie on your “free” bag of Pottercrap! I opt for an additional upfront $2 savings from my good friend Meyer.
Off to pick up what is quite likely my last Australian dry cleaning order, before settling into contended Harrydom.
