Since we have three entries that received null points, I’ll be ruthless and drop all 3 from next week’s ballot. That means it's au revoir for:
+ Congratulations by Cliff Richard
+ What’s Another Year by Johnny Logan
+ Ein Bißchen Frieden by Nicole.

This week’s poll will be posted by Monday morning Vancouver time (GMT - 8). Don't forget to vote!!!!

Wah! The two people who voted for Johnny Logan voted for the wrong Johnny Logan song!

I was gonna threaten the person who voted for “Save Your Kisses For Me” with violence, but I figure they’ve already suffered several severe blows to the head. How else to explain their vote?

Incidentally, Schmetterlinge’s notoriously grotesque parody of the SYKFM dance is still up at webbyen.dk (http://www.eurosong.webbyen.dk/vishjemmeside_privat.asp?mode=top_frame&id=165504&side=&webside=4931108). Get it while it’s hot!

This is kind of fun, actually ^o^ And I'm certainly not misty-eyed at all to see "Congratulations" or "Ein Bißchen Frieden" go ^^;;;

Yeah, it’s hard to dislike Nicole herself. She seems genuinely sweet. Though someone should have told her that the Little House On The Prairie look went out when Gunne Sax closed up shop.

The local Schnitzelhaus has this Nicole CD that they play every time I’m there. If you ever yearned to hear her sing “Danny Boy”...

I’ve a soft spot for “Theater”, too. But it has nothing to do with Siegel and everything to do with Katja. Projecting pleasant thoughts of “Wunder gibt es immer wieder”.

On a certain message board (http://www.escforum.com/index.php), the awful, horrible, appalling-even-by-Siegel-standards “Johnny Blue” threatened to win a Best German Entry poll. Luckily, a brace of wiser head swept in at the last second and put Joy Fleming over the top. Thank whatever Gods there be.

Incidentally, if you value your sanity, don’t, whatever you do, click on the Real Audio recording of “Bye Bye I Love You” on this page (http://members.fortunecity.com/euromusicfan/esc2.html). It’s the most wicked, evil earworm imaginable, even worse than “Bananaphone”.
