ça plane pour moi
May. 8th, 2003 07:29 pmThis has been a busy week. On Tuesday I finalized a consultancy with another university here in Sydney. An afternoon ("arvo" in 'Strine) meeting for Wednesday morphed into planning 2 sessions for a national meeting of HIV/AIDS education and support staff from across Australia.
With 12 hours notice--and I'd already made a movie date with new Mr. Man, which meant he amused himself with a cryptic crossword while I finalized some materials for the sessions. Then we amused each other for a couple of hours, heh heh.
The workshop was awesome--it's the first facilitation/instruction I've gone since coming to Oz and I had a blast. A good reminder that, for me it's all about engaging with people and issues. The participants seemed pleased, as did my co-presenters. While I absolutely love doing these sorts of things, they do take their toll...by the time I got home I felt both rubber-legged and tense. So rub-a-dub-dub, I ran me a tub. And soaked my cares away.
And this was the view I came home to, a lovely Autumn day in Sydney:

Fantastic, eh?
And here's a photo taken of me during Mardi Gras, at the UnderBear party:

Tomorrow, I sleep in, work @ home, and dine with m8s before bears @ The Palace

Hmph.
Oh, and I know a dyke in Melbourne who is works with the AIDS council down there and works at the DHS who might be interested in your HIV education and support staff meeting. She could at least help get the word out. (she's got *connections*) I can send you her email if you're interested.
