Am trying to fit the last piece of the wellness (as in OK cholesterol and body mass) puzzle into place:exercise. After a few cameo appearances over the past fortnight
querrelle and I joined the Y today. So far I’m committed to an aquafit class on Wednesday (that totally kicked my fat arse this week) and cardio and light weights on Sundays. I hope soon to add a 3rd activity each week: that might be ice skating one night (at the community centre, not the Y), or maybe another fitness class. I feel prettier already.
Got almost the last of my stored stuff from
toneyvr today: there are 11 boxes needing unpacking. I will start them very shortly. As in, right after I hit “submit”.
querrelle iz hawt. Do you all realize how hawt he iz? Like, totally!

Date: 2005-10-25 06:16 am (UTC)I have heard that square dancing is excellent excercise, both for the body and the mind. I also know that there happens to be a free introductory night of square dancing tomorrow night (Tuesday, October 25) at the ScotiaBank Dance Centre (Davie & Granville) from 7:00 to 9:00. No previous dance experience necessary, casual dress, runners rather than dress shoes or boots. Not only is it good physical and mental exercise, but it is also a wonderful drug- and alcohol-free social event, great for both singles and couples.
I've also heard that the instructor for the class is an attractive long-hair'd man, and is a really nice guy to boot *ahem* ;)

Date: 2005-10-25 03:38 pm (UTC)But I've been around the Square dance culture for years, and I'm just not willing to commit to lessons every week for several weeks/months. Because I'm a princess! *puts tiara on head*
