I am so sorry for your loss. It’s always hard when a friend dies. It’s always harder when they’re young and it’s too fucking soon. And it’s even harder when they take their own life.

Please don’t blame yourselves at all, no matter how your relations with your friend were just before he died. Sometimes there’s a trigger or a catalyst that starts this chain of events. But really it comes down to suffering and pain and it being unbearable.

He was in a lot of pain for many years, we often spoke of suicide as a pain control issue. So I just want to reiterate that message for anyone who might still be blaming himself or herself. He was a smart guy and planned this carefully.
