Had too much to do today (even before it started) so I started my day with a big fat sleeping pill last night. My name is Neely O'Hara and all you fuckers can...oh wait, that's not my name at all.

Awake at 07h20, snoozed until 07h29. Waited for querrelle to finish abluting then I abluted. Slurped down mug o' cha, toddled to McDo for hotcakes (me) and sausage McMuff (him). On bus by 08h30, at desk by 09h00.

Tasks:
-meeting agenda for Thursday morning meeting (check!)
-prepare reading packet for same meeting (check!)
-organize desk with files recently arrived from Oz (check!)
-catch up on email correspondence (check!)
-assess student work (check!)

12h15 lunch. Beef strokemeoff rice bowl w/Coke (no Diet Coke available) :(

13h00 meet with research team lead about interview coding
14h00 meet with entire researche team for (snooze-inducing) update
16h00 meet with (awesome, bright) student
16h25 get ready to code 4 more interviews
16h45 wait for IM from querrelle so we can touch base over the phone

So anyone who thinks academics are lazy can go fuck themselves.

Now I know we academics aren't lazy, but after one of my colleagues spent half an hour complaining about his workload then went back to his office, another colleague said "We get paid to read, to write and to teach and go to meetings- it's not like we're stuck down a coalmine all day." I threw a pillow at her and told her to shut up.
